Self-Portrait Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible for The Self-Portrait Scholarship students must be:

• Accepted on the full-time MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, UAL starting in October 2022.

About

To celebrate Self Portrait’s 5 year anniversary, in 2018 UAL and Self Portrait set up the Self Portrait Scholarship which supplies financial aid to one student per year on the MA Fashion Course at Central Saint Martins.

Self-portrait was established in 2013 in a bid to create an accessible and contemporary brand with an ethos to provide transitional city-wear pieces using luxury fabrics that is still attainable for customers.

Founded by Han Chong, a Central Saint Matins alumnus, Self-Portrait has become known for showcasing designs that combine femininity with a street edge, characterized by Han’s interest in photography, art, architecture and contemporary culture.

The scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit. It will provide a contribution towards, tuition fees, course costs and living expenses for Home students and a contribution to tuition fees only for international students.

Applications are welcome from those who are in financial hardship and those who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realise their full potential.

Receiving payment

For Home students, the scholarship will provide a contribution towards tuition fees, course costs and living expenses. For International students, the scholarship will provide a contribution towards tuition fees.

Tuition fees will be paid directly from the award into the University’s Tuition Fees account.

Course costs and living expenses payments (for Home students only) will be paid in termly instalments to the award recipient.
