Who can apply?
Eligibility criteria – all applicants must be:
16+ years and studying A Levels and/or Level 3 Diplomas at a UAL Outreach partner school or college in London.
We’ll consider your application if you meet 1 or more of the following criteria:
- you are currently in or have been in care
- you live in a priority postcode area (using the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), areas in deciles 1 to 4)
- you live in a household that receives benefits for living costs, including: Universal Credit; Child Tax Credit; Free School Meals; Housing Benefit; Income Support; Income-based Job Seekers Allowance.
- have no parent or guardian that has completed a university degree.
Before you apply
Students must provide accurate information regarding this eligibility criteria. If you don't it may affect your application to the Insights programme and UAL.
Students on the Foundation programme at UAL are not eligible but are supported by UAL's Academic Support Teams.
We also recognise that there are other informal education courses, clubs and life experiences that provide excellent equivalent experience outside of schools and colleges. We'll consider applicants from these backgrounds on a case-by-case basis.
