Take part

Come to our Colleges for creative activities and pre-university advice:

  • make work across art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts
  • experiment with a variety of traditional and innovative equipment or techniques
  • get honest advice from our students and graduates; find out about their creative journeys
  • discover how different each of our College campuses are and what they could offer you.

Activities are free to attend, materials and refreshments are provided.

Eligibility criteria

All applicants must:

Be 16+ years and studying A Levels and Level 3 Diplomas at a UAL Outreach partner school or college in Greater London

In addition, meet 1 or more of the following criteria to apply:

  • have no parent(s) or guardian(s) that have completed a university degree
  • live in a priority postcode area (using the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), areas in deciles 1 to 4)
  • live in a household that receives benefits for living costs (including Universal Credit, Child Tax Credit, Free School Meals, Housing Benefit, Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance and Pupil Premium)
  • have care experience.

Students on the UAL Foundation programme are not eligible but are supported by UAL's Academic Support Teams.

We also recognise that there are other courses, clubs and life experiences that provide excellent equivalent experience outside of schools and colleges and will consider applicants from these backgrounds on a case-by-case basis.

Are you a 2nd year Level 3 Diploma or A Level student who's considering applying to university?

At this stage in your education, there are 2 levels you should consider for further study – a foundation course or an undergraduate degree at one of our Colleges. We've designed our autumn-winter schools workshops to reflect this.

Workshops start in early November with some information and advice evenings in October.

University of the Arts London (UAL) will process the information you provide on this form and personal data collected or created as part of our relationship with you.

We will also process your health or other sensitive data under GDPR 9(2)(a) ‘explicit consent of the data subject’ (you, the student), where you wish to tell us of special requirements.
