Additional information

Are UAL qualifications QCF or RQF?

All of our qualifications are regulated and sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) was in operation between 2008 and 2015. The RQF replaced the QCF in 2015 and is in use in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Do you have component / unit codes for UAL qualifications?

It is no longer a requirement for Awarding Organisations to link unit codes to qualifications on the Ofqual portal. You will find with newer qualifications no unit codes are available.

The Qualification Number (QN) should be used by centres when applying for public funding for their learners.

Do Level 2 qualifications have UCAS points?

No. UCAS tariffs Level 3 (and equivalent) qualifications only. You can find out how many UCAS tariff points your Level 3 qualification is worth by using the UCAS Tariff Calculator or by referring to our UCAS Guide.

Can a learner use a BTEC Diploma (first year) in combination with a UAL Extended Diploma for UCAS points and entry into university?

A learner can use a BTEC Diploma (first year) in combination with a UAL Extended Diploma. This is compatible for UCAS points and entry into university. Learners are advised to contact Higher Education Providers (HEPs) directly to check their entry requirements.
