Jessica, Chelsea College of Arts
My name is Jessica and I’m super excited to be a part of the Global Ambassadors team for this year, sharing all things exchange programmes here at UAL. I’m the ambassador for Chelsea College of Arts (CCW) and now in my final year of my BA in Fine Art with Creative Computing.
In my second year I was lucky enough to do a semester exchange at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, so I am happy to answer questions and provide guidance where I can regarding your mobility from or to CCW through our instagram channel and inquiry form!
Please do not hesitate to reach out, I could talk about my exchange experience for days. It's such an exciting thing to be a part of during any period of study!

Isobel, Central Saint Martins
I’m Isobel, a final-year Architecture Masters student at Central Saint Martins (CSM). This summer, I participated in a live-build project, Kollaborative Konstruction (KOKO), in Austria as part of the European Capital of Culture programme in Salzkammergut. It was an incredible opportunity, designing and building simultaneously in a local context. It was also part of the spatial practices ‘work placement’ requirement for the MArch course.
I highly recommend gaining abroad experience—it widens your knowledge, fosters collaboration with diverse people and immerses you in new cultures! Definitely working and living abroad has shaped my practice and constructed alternative perspectives!
My advice—make the most of UAL’s networks! I’m happy to help with any queries you have, especially about the Turing Scheme funding, which helped cover my travel and living costs abroad, making it much more accessible and possible!

Fajar, London College of Fashion
I’m Fajar, a final year student at London College of Fashion (LCF) studying fashion design and development. Last year I went to Los Angeles for an exchange program at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) for 3 months and it was a wonderful experience. I was able to connect with a lot of new people and got the chance to study different modules of my course which were really helpful.
Being a part of exchange programs is an incredible opportunity as it broadens your perspective and allows you to connect with people from all over the world. My own experience has undoubtedly introduced me to new dimensions of the fashion industry.

Joe, London College of Communication
My name is Joe, I’m a 4th year BA at London College of Communication (LCC) studying Graphic Branding & Identity and I’m from the Kentish seaside. During my 3rd year, I had a placement in Porto for 2 months, where I worked at UPTEC, a business incubation programme associated with the University of Porto. The placement was an incredible experience, I was able to grow as both a creative and as a person, while being able to experience an entirely new culture, none of which would have been possible without the Turing Scheme!
While my course is focused on branding, my practice involves anything digital, not just logomania. I’m passionate about photography, fashion, editorials, and essentially anything which isn’t necessarily traditional!
As 1/4th of the UAL Global Student Ambassadors team, I’m here to answer any questions you may have about international opportunities, the technicalities behind it, and help with any doubts and thoughts about it all!
