Course overview
This dynamic course is designed to introduce you to a range of jewellery making techniques and skills so you can produce your very own piece of jewellery.
Through a mixture of presentations, gamification, practical exercises and demonstrations, you'll learn how to design, develop and cast your chosen piece of jewellery from scratch. The course will cover techniques such as mood boarding, sculpting, maquette making, cuttlefish casting, de-spruing and polishing.
You'll work towards designing and making a charm, ring or pendant and prepare a cuttlefish.

- Students aged 16 to 18 with an interest in designing
- Students who are keen to learn basic jewellery making techniques
- Students who want to learn more about fashion jewellery and the jewellery industry including information about manufacturing, designing, making, outsourcing, hand fabricating and pricing
