Course overview
Wayfinding and signage greatly impact how people engage with and experience indoor and outdoor spaces, and is important for architects, designers, and event organisers when planning projects. This course will teach you to plan and create signage and information design that allows a user the best experiences of outdoor events, buildings and exhibitions.
Through a series of short workshops, you will learn to design effective wayfinding strategies and receive guidance about issuing production information to manufacturers.

Tutor
Aurelien Christian Thomas
AureÌlien is an experienced signage designer for the cultural, leisure, education and residential sectors. He has developed wayfinding strategies and information graphics for the University of Cambridge, Starbucks, Microsoft and Marriott International.
AureÌlien has created large-scale graphics for numerous buildings, including London Borough Market’s glass courtyard, Greenwich Millennium Village and the London School of Economics. He has also designed mural artworks for commercial and hospitality projects.
He studied graphic design in France and visual culture at The School of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University. AureÌlien is currently a Senior Designer at Jestico + Whiles, a london-based architecture and interior design practice, and a co-founder and creative director of Designer Designer Studio.
