Each project is carefully designed to help you break free from perfectionism and explore your creativity to find what inspires you. You'll receive step-by-step guidance yet have plenty of room to experiment and develop your personal creativity, generate ideas for drawings and expand on themes that are important to you.
You'll get to try out many drawing techniques to enable you to understand what methods work best for you, what are your core values as an artist, and how to communicate them through drawing. In addition to hands-on practice, you'll dive into the ideas and theories of contemporary artists, helping you develop a well-rounded 'drawing toolkit.'
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills, confidence, and creative voice to tackle any artistic project that comes your way! Expect to try out new drawing techniques that will help you understand what works best for you and shape your identity as an artist.
This course is available both on campus or online.
Who this course is for
This course is ideal for beginners who want a fast-track ride through all areas of design and those with experience who want to reconnect with raw and immediate working methods.
Please note this course is available in 2 formats - an intensive 5-day course with 25 hours of study and a condensed 5-week evening course with 12.5 hours of study. The 5-day intensive course offers more studio and class time for the activities, while the 5-week evening course will include exercises and homework over 5 weeks.

Rod Judkins
Rod Judkins is a London-based artist, illustrator, designer and writer. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art he has had numerous solo exhibitions in London and abroad. He teaches on conceptual-thinking seminars at many colleges and has written two books, The Art of Creative Thinking, and Change Your Mind: 57 Ways to unlock Your Creative Self.
