
Poetry for Beginners Online Short Course
Course description
Taught through a combination of readings, discussions and exercises, this inspiring short course is designed to introduce students to the art of writing poetry.
During the course, students explore the core elements of poetry and practice learned techniques in their own poems. The course covers several key topics including rhythm and sound, imagery, poetic forms and editing.
By the end of the six weeks, students will have completed close reading of various poets and gained insights that will offer inspiration for their own poems.

By the end of the course students should:

- Have a small portfolio of own poems
