Centre of Sustainable Fashion's (CSF) anti-greenwash framework, developed in collaboration with King’s College London and led by University of Gloucestershire, won the Highly Commended award in Green Gown’s Next Generation Learning & Skills category.

The Green Gown Awards were established in 2004 to recognise and celebrate innovative sustainability initiatives led by universities and colleges.

Since 2022, CSF and the 2 universities have been working together to tackle greenwashing in higher education curricula. The aim of the framework, built on best practice and their existing Education for Sustainability (EfS) assessment framework, is to support universities in accurately measuring sustainability education standards. The project also involves students and is designed to help them understand to what extent their studies provide them with the knowledge, skills and experience required to lead positive change within sustainability in their careers.
