Natalie Brett is to retire in December 2021 as Pro Vice-Chancellor International and Head of London College of Communication, UAL.
Natalie’s career at UAL began in 1996 as a senior lecturer, shortly after the University gained degree awarding powers. She went on to play a significant part in shaping the institution we know today, with leadership roles at 3 of our 6 colleges. These include Acting Dean of Chelsea College of Arts, followed by Dean of Camberwell College of Arts. She became Head of London College of Communication in 2013.
Natalie Brett said:
“I am proud to have been part of UAL for 25 years, and especially to have led the transformation of London College of Communication in the last decade. None of it would have been possible without the energy, enthusiasm, and ideas of our talented and dedicated staff, students and graduates across the College and University – all of whom I have enjoyed working with so much.”
James Purnell, President & Vice-Chancellor of UAL, said:
“Natalie has ensured London College of Communication’s place at the forefront of creative communications, building on the heritage and traditions of the College. As PVC International, she led the first UAL-wide international strategy process. And she made a defining contribution as LGBTQ+ Champion, leading UAL to be named amongst Britain’s Top 100 LGBT-inclusive employers.”
