Professor David Crow appointed UAL Pro Vice-Chancellor Online Education

Professor David Crow has been appointed University of the Arts London’s first-ever Pro Vice-Chancellor Online Education. The appointment builds on his leadership of the start-up team for UAL Online and is made for an initial period of two years, starting on 6 June 2022.

David will lead strategic and operational planning for the online learning portfolio across the University, and will develop an industry-leading operational infrastructure in partnership with Chris Condron, UAL Chief Digital Officer.

Professor Roni Brown, UAL Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education, said:

“UAL’s new strategy sets ambitious targets to meet the huge demand for UAL education through online learning. David’s appointment creates real momentum for us to grow well, based on his deep understanding of creative arts and his ability to translate what makes UAL unique into richly attractive online learning.”

Chris Condron, UAL Chief Digital Officer, said:

“David’s new Online Education Group is a pathfinder for how we do digital in better ways together at UAL.”

David’s substantive post as Head of Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts will be offered as an internal leadership development opportunity. This role will be advertised on a fixed term basis in April 2022.
