Rob Kramer has been appointed UAL University Secretary. He will take up post on 3 May 2022.

Rob is currently Director & Chief Operating Officer of the Cabinet Secretariat in the Cabinet Office, where he is responsible for the effective operation of cabinet government, and advises senior ministers and the Cabinet Secretary. As a senior civil servant, his previous policy experience includes the economy, business, trade, tech, higher education and culture portfolios, and the resilience of the UK’s finance sector.

Robert’s outstanding record of governance, expert analysis, and ability to address complex issues, will be vital to UAL as we continue to develop our profile and reputation, and begin to implement our new strategy.

As University Secretary, Rob will be responsible for the governance of the University, its subsidiaries and associated bodies. He will also lead the Chair of Court and President & Vice-Chancellor’s Office, and act as UAL Senior Information Risk Officer.
