UAL continues to rise in the Complete University Guide 2025

UAL continues its upward trend in the Complete University Guide league table, now ranking 28th place out of a total of 130 institutions for 2025. Since 2020, UAL has climbed 33 places in the guide.
The ranking has cemented our position in the top 30 UK universities, top 5 London universities, and the highest-ranking specialist art institution.
The metrics which contributed to our score include research quality - where we scored 80%, academic services spend, and our student - staff ratio.
About the Guide
The Complete University Guide is a widely cited online ranking of 130 UK universities in 1 main table, plus 70 individual subject tables to help students compare courses at different universities.
The main table is based on 10 measures: student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, entry standards, student/staff ratio; spending on academic services; spending on student facilities; good honours degrees; graduate prospects and completion.
