We are delighted to announce that University of the Arts London (UAL) has become an official member of London Higher.

UAL is joining London Higher as part of its new 10-year strategy, The World Needs Creativity. It aims to boost collaboration and knowledge exchange throughout London Higher’s network of over 40 universities and higher education colleges across the capital.

James Purnell, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of the Arts London said:

“We are designing UAL around our social purpose, which is to change society through our knowledge and creativity in a world changed by COVID, climate change and inequality.

“We look forward to working together with the impressive London Higher membership to realise this social purpose in London, nationally and worldwide.”

Dr Diana Beech, Chief Executive Officer of London Higher said:

“We are delighted to welcome UAL to the London Higher membership. London has long been known as a global hub for the creative industries, and UAL offers world-leading training in the creative arts as well as creating engagement opportunities for the wider community.

“Our Arts and Minds report displayed the importance of creative higher education in London, and we look forward to working with UAL as a valuable member of our vibrant networks.”
