We hope you all had a wonderful start to the new academic year and enjoyed Big Welcome! We want to make sure we are making every year better, smoother and more enjoyable - you know, bigger! That's why every year we conduct a survey to hear your feedback on the start of this academic year, what you enjoyed and what you thought could be better.

All students who complete the survey will be in with the chance of winning one of 3 free short courses worth up to £700! These are a great way to gain a new skill and enhance your creative practice. UAL Short Courses has over 1,000 courses across 19 subject areas, search for what course you will do if you win!

The survey covers your enrolement, the Big Welcome experience and events, and your College's Get Ready programme. All students are invited to complete the survey, from 1st years to those undertaking their PhD. It only takes 10 minutes to complete and is a quick and easy way to give your thoughts on the start of the academic year.

Everything you say in the survey will be anonymous, to register for the competition to win a free short course you will have to enter your name and email. These details are just to contact you if you win, they are not stored along with your responses.

Free short course prize terms and conditions

• By entering this competition, the winner and the participants agree that UAL Short Courses may use any image submitted for marketing activity on UAL Short Courses platforms, including email, social media and/or the UAL website. All images will be credited.
• The winner can select one UAL short course only, up to the value of £700.
• The winner must be suitable for the course (e.g. the right age group/level).
• The winner must agree to UAL’s short course terms and conditions.
• If a short course is not selected before 31 July 2023, the offer of a placement will become void.
• The offer of a free short course can be used by a different person with the written approval of the original offer holder.
• UAL reserves the right to substitute a free short course placement to an offer of equivalent or greater value if necessary, for reasons beyond our reasonable control.
• Should the winner wish to enrol on a short course higher than the value of £700 they must pay the difference.
• The free short course placement does not include any costs incurred by the winner in order to attend and join the course.
