Sarah Habberfield

Biography

Sarah Habberfield is currently the Strategy Head for the Banking and International division at Citigroup where she was also previously the Head of Strategy for the EMEA region. In this capacity she works with senior leadership to identify and assess key strategic opportunities as well as the key strategic risks facing the business.

After reading Classics at University College, Oxford, Sarah began her career in Strategy Consulting at Oliver Wyman where she spent 11 years working on consulting projects within the Financial Services industry, advising a range of client institutions primarily across the UK and Europe. Her work spanned topics such as strategic growth, risk management as well as organisational change, culture and governance effectiveness.

In 2013 she moved to Deutsche Bank where she held a variety of roles. She supported the CEOs’ office on strategic projects and governance requirements, was responsible for Group Regulatory Governance and led Strategy for the Investment Bank. She also spent time working with the Corporate and Institutional Banking businesses teams to run key risk controls as well as leading transformation and cost reduction initiatives.

In addition to her professional career, Sarah has a long-standing interest in and support for the arts. She previously served for 9 years as a Trustee at Lamda where she was Vice Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee.
