This accessibility statement applies to the web browser interface of Student Engagement Tracking System (SEAtS), which is a third-party attendance management solution used at University of the Arts London. It has been developed and provided by SEAtS Software. SEAtS is managed by The Student Systems and Records department, Academic Registry at the University of the Arts London (UAL)
We commit to ensuring our instance of SEAtS is as accessible as possible and we want as many people as possible to be able to use it. This means that you should be able to:
- access the website regardless of the device and browser you are using
 - zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
 - navigate some of the website using just a keyboard
 - navigate some of the website using speech recognition software
 - listen to most of the website using a screen reader.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know that not every ID attribute value is unique. This includes value of active elements, the value of ID attributes in ARIA and the value of ID attributes in labels.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
UAL is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard. The non-compliances and exemptions are listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
The accessibility issues that can only be resolved by our supplier are listed below:
- Not every ID attribute value is unique. This includes value of active elements, the value of id attributes in ARIA and the value of ID attributes in labels. This fails WCAG success criterion 4.1.1 Parsing (level A).
 - Not every ARIA input field has an accessible name. This fails WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (Level A).

Disproportionate burden
UAL has little control over the functionality, design or user interface of SEAtS and we are reliant on the supplier to make improvements to the accessibility of their product.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We continue to lobby SEAtS Software to improve the accessibility of their product and have previously supplied them with the result of our own accessibility audit.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 22 July 2020.
SEAtS was tested in October 2020 and was carried out internally by UAL staff. It was re-tested by Seats Software in June 2021.
The following automated accessibility tools, assistive technology and manual testing methods were used by UAL. These included:
- WAVE from WebAIM
 - Siteimprove Accessibility Checker
 - VoiceOver on Mac OS
 - Manually auditing the alt text of all images
 - Manually checking colour contrast of text
 - Navigation using only a keyboard
