In November the Sustainability Alumni Network organised a workshop for guests to learn more about their carbon footprint, all by playing a board game.
The evening gave guests a chance to network with other alumni who are passionate about sustainability within the creative industries.
Then President of the network, Katie Kubrak introduced the creators of the game, Carboned OUT, Nanthini Sampath and Ozge Sahin. Then everyone took part in playing the game.
About Carboned OUT
Carboned OUT was designed to make learning about climate change fun and interactive. Originally devised as part of a collaborative project for Nanthini and Ozge’s MA in Global Collaborative Design Practice at Camberwell College of Arts
The aim of the game is to help people understand their daily carbon footprint and the impact of their choices. Like how much carbon is emitted when you flush the toilet, make a card transaction, or even by owning a cat!
For Nanthani and Ozge, increasing awareness of daily emissions is a way to inspire long-term behavioural change by encouraging mindful decisions.
About the Sustainability Alumni Network
