Rakesh Mohindra is a visual artist who works with the photographic image to explore themes of transition, identity and situatedness. In his practice he uses photography in an expanded form, examining it (and his relationship with it) through the lens of other media, most notably sculpture. He is a co-founder of pic.london, a platform to support artists working with images. He is also a co-founder of Image Assembly, an artist's group that makes experimental work in response to the written word. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and he was shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2015.
