Camberwell's printmaking centre gives students access to both traditional and digital facilities. Our technicians support students in making work using digital, screen, mono and relief printing, plate and stone lithography, letterpress, aquatint and etching.
Camberwell's library provides students with access to equipment and training. Students can use programmes such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
Camberwell's photography centre has a range of darkrooms and specialist equipment available for students. There is also a digital darkroom which is used to teach BA Fine Art Photography students photographic digital workflows.
Camberwell's 3D workshops allow students to make work in metal, ceramics, plastic and wood.
In 2018 we carried out an audit on the accessibility of our sites and decided that works were necessary for Camberwell Peckham Road, specifically to the Grade II listed buildings which make up C and D Blocks. The Camberwell Accessibility Project started in June 2024 and is due to be completed by the end of the 2025 calendar year.
All students and staff will have full access to studios and workshops during term time and the Camberwell shop will return to Peckham Road from Wilson Road for the start of the academic year. The Dark Room and Letterpress will remain at Wilson Road for the duration of the next academic year, with the Colour Dark Room open at Peckham Road, in line with the summer term times.
