After studying Cosmetic Science at London College of Fashion and receiving a start-up loan from UAL Student Enterprise and Employability, British-Nigerian entrepreneur and cosmetic scientist, Florence Adepoju founded makeup company MDMflow, in response to the lack of diversity that she noted in the beauty industry.
Only 9 months after establishing MDMflow, Florence became 1 of 9 finalists out of hundreds of women that applied to the Stylist x Triumph competition and has since garnered a cult following for her company’s bold lipsticks and vintage-inspired packaging. Her brand’s success has been featured in major publications such as New York Times, Vogue and Grazia.
Florence continues to advocate for greater representation of women of colour in the industry by expanding the brand’s product offerings and global reach and inspiring aspiring entrepreneurs and young women of colour who are looking to break into the beauty industry.
