Francesca Shepherd is an accomplished lawyer, specialising in commercial negotiation and intellectual property in the creative industries. She credits her part-time student job at Savile Row with sparking her interest in the process of making, selling and marketing fashion product — a passion which ultimately directed her career trajectory.
Today, Francesca serves as Vice President and Counsel at WME Fashion, an affiliate of WME, the longest-standing talent agency in the world. Through her decade-long partnership with London College of Fashion (LCF), she has offered accessible legal advice to emerging creative talent across the UAL network and supported the students in their relationships with industry. The treasured relationship saw Francesca become a visiting lecturer at LCF, fuelled by her mission to demystify legal concepts critical for students and graduates to grasp as they embark on their fashion careers.
