Biography
Crimson O’Shea is a Senior Lecturer on BA Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear at London College of Fashion. An alumnus of Central Saint Martins BA (Hons) Fashion Design: Womenswear and MA Textile Design at the Royal College of Art, Crimson is a multi-disciplinary practice based designer working in industry across both womenswear and textiles. She has an extensive portfolio in Fashion Design and Higher Education.Crimson has received numerous awards for her work in fashion and textiles including, first prize for outstanding use of colour from the Society of Dyers, the Althea McNish Colour Prize and Texprint 2016. Crimson’s work has been featured in various publications including Another Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Hunger and Vogue.
Crimson has a wealth of industry experience that includes working in the studios of John Galliano, Diane von Furstenberg and for Elisa Palomino. As a designer Crimson has worked for luxury womenswear and sportswear brands, her clients include Guy Laroche, Thomas Pink and Lululemon.
Crimson is a current PhD student her working title 'Fieldwork from afar' is a practice based research degree. Her research intersects the fields of art and design and visual, material, museum, anthropology.
