Ellen Hanceri

Biography

Ellen Hanceri is a printmaker and surface designer. She studied at Camberwell School of Art and The City and Guilds of London Art School, and her work combines traditional printmaking processes. These processes include block printing, intaglio, and screen printing. She explores and develops different qualities of surface and pattern; for example tessellated ceramic tiles, embossed leather wall coverings, screen printed lino, and experiments with expanded scale of motif and application. Work is produced at her studio in London, and clients include Liberty Furnishing and Fashion prints, Osborne and Little, and Zoffany.
Ellen's commercial work and creative practice inform her teaching and her role as LCC's Academic Coordinator for Enterprise and Employability, to open up opportunities for students to collaborate with industry.
