Biography
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I'm Izzy—an illustrator and award-winning animation director based in London with a deep love for storytelling through diverse animation techniques and formats.Recently, I directed two animated films, Remember the Future and The Many Faces of Ava. Both projects have received numerous national and international awards. I thrive when I'm collaborating closely with composers, musicians, and other creative minds, especially on projects that promote environmentalism and human rights.
I also have over nine years of experience in higher education, and I truly enjoy sharing my passion with the next generation of artists. Currently, I lecture at both the University of the Arts London and the University of Surrey, where I design engaging workshops and hands-on classes that encourage students to explore various animation techniques and narrative styles.
Alongside teaching, I've had the pleasure of working on a wide range of freelance projects for amazing clients like the Wellcome Trust and Disney Plus, among others. I co-founded the De Montage Art Collective in London, directing feature-length animated projections for opera performances in in London, Germany and Japan.
I hold an MA in Directing Animation from the National Film and Television School, a PGCert in Higher Education from Middlesex University, and a BA (Hons) in Animation from Middlesex University. These experiences have shaped my approach to both art and education, fueling my drive to push creative boundaries.
Right now, I’m also expanding my drawing and printmaking practice at the Royal Drawing School, developing a series of vibrant illustrations that further explore my love for visual storytelling.
Feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect, share ideas, or collaborate on creative projects!
