Jasper Zheng Shuoyang

Biography

Apart from being an associate lecturer at UAL Creative Computing Institute, Jasper Zheng is pursuing a PhD degree in AI and Music at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London. His works explore AI systems through their convergence with media and arts, primarily focusing on the development of interactive and understandable tools that facilitate musical creation and expression, and on the understanding of how these technological advances impact artistic practices. Besides technical perspectives, Jasper is equally interested in the aesthetical and ethical implications inherent to the development of AI.
