            Biography
Jeffrey Horsley originally trained in theatre design completing a BA (Hons) Drama atManchester University and a PG Dip Theatre Design at Croydon College. Subsequently, Jeff
worked as Curator: Design at Manchester Art Gallery where he curated and commissioned
exhibitions focused on contemporary art and design including work by Derek Jarman, Peter
Saville, Central Station Design and Trojan. As Head of Exhibitions at Manchester Museum Jeff
created the exhibition Lindow Man which was awarded Design Week Best Temporary
Exhibition Design and the British Archaeological Association Award for Innovation.
Jeff returned to education, studying MA Fashion at Manchester Metropolitan University which
led to a PhD, completed in 2012, at London College of Fashion, which examined experimental
strategies for the presentation of fashion in museums, focusing on work at ModeMuseum,
Antwerp. Jeff has been Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Centre for Fashion Curation, LCF, since
2015 where his research interests focus on the history of fashion exhibitions, experimental
approaches to exhibiting fashion and fashion, exhibitions and biography. Jeff is also Course Leader, MA Fashion Curation, London College of Fashion.
