Joshua Dobrik

Biography

Joshua Dobrik is a Savile Row-trained cutter, and editor of the tailoring trade periodical, Tailor & Cutter. They lecture on the BA and MA Costume courses at Wimbledon College of Arts, and guest lecture on BA Bespoke Tailoring at London College of Fashion.

Their areas of research include the historical and developmental study of proportionate drafts and block/measure cutting practices within the context of Bespoke Tailoring, with a particular competence in the field of figuration analysis and draft adaptation for nonconforming bodies. Additionally, they are committed to the dissemination and recording of late modern and postmodern Bespoke Tailoring material and non-material culture, visual histories and trade perspectives.
