Lu Wang

Biography

I am a PhD student at the London College of Fashion. My practice-based research explores costume-centric performance through the lens of Chinese silk heritage (sericulture), Daoist philosophy, and feminist materialism. Working across craft, fieldwork, and embodied movement, I investigate more-than-human relations through body, material, and space, reimagining performance design as a form of ecological co-creation.

As a versatile and enthusiastic designer, I thrive in collaborative environments. With a master's degree in set and costume design, I have spent over a decade transitioning my artistic expertise into the art and design industries. My experience extends to multimedia content creation, branding, and marketing, where I excel in crafting visually compelling and impactful content for diverse brands. By blending artistic sensibilities with business acumen, I strive to connect, create, and inspire through a synthesis of creativity and strategy.
