Biography
Lu Zeng is a PhD Candidate at Central Saint Martins, UAL. Her dissertation is titled 'Place as Method: Film Theory through Rhythmanalysis'. Using Henri Lefebvre's rhythmanalysis as a tentative tool, she studies ways in which the concept of place contributes to film theory and philosophy, such as in theories of cinematic temporality, the real, subjectivity, and medium specificity. In addition to film research, Lu has short-term experiences in film sales, distribution, festival marketing, and curation. Most recently, she worked for the 7th Ramsgate International Film & Television Festival and the 66th BFI London Film Festival.Publications:
