Maria Charalampous

Biography

Maria Charalampous is a Lecturer in Cosmetic Science, leading the teaching for Human Biology, Microbiology and Cosmetic Product Claims.
She has been teaching biology and microbiology in a variety of roles for 9+ years and is passionate about broadening access to higher education and STEM.
Maria holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Lancaster University and an MSc in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Sheffield. She then went on to work on a project sponsored by EPSRC, Colgate-Palmolive and Boots Contract Manufacturing, investigating the micro-robustness of oral care products against environmental bacteria.
