Biography
Naomi is a multilingual educator with expertise in intercultural collaborations, participatory design and cultures of sustainability.She has worked across academic and professional roles across various educational settings, developing and facilitating international multi-partner collaborations in the FE and HE sectors; strategic project design, management and evaluation; supporting teaching and learning of students from diverse cultures and languages; engaging in strategic industry-academia collaboration. Naomi has developed awards for intercultural teaching and learning, and has led and contributed to a number of projects related to displacement, diversity and inclusion and cultures of sustainability.
Head of Strategy at Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF), she oversees core activities, business decisions and strategic collaborations across Research, Education and Knowledge Exchange as well as supporting inclusive working practices and an environment that encourages active listening, honesty in conversations, continuous learning, and the quality and integrity of our work.
Naomi is the co-founder and co-lead of the SoWhat Matters Lab.
She is a member of the AHRC peer review college, and a KE concordat evaluator and advisor.
She is also UAL co-lead of the Shared Campus Critical Ecologies Group, an international education and research network on issues of global significance, interculturality, sustainability and cross-disciplinary collaboration with 8 Higher Education Institutions globally.
Naomi's interests are in plural epistemologies, practices and cultures of sustainability, multilingual and experimental pedagogies related to our interdependencies with each other in a more than human world.
