My role as Dean of Academic Programmes at CSM is to work within the senior executive team of the College, alongside and in support of the Head of College, the other academic Deans and the College DAS, and the Director of College Administration. My responsibilities touch on all areas of College activity and business and involve me with committees and the network of Deans from across the University. I have three academic programmes, one of which is new and in development.

I have a background in Fine Art practice and, outside of academia, I maintain a studio in North Manchester and continue to make work (mostly paintings) and to work on a short range of very long term collaborative initiatives with groups and communities attempting to affect change in their local area. I am Visiting Professor in Creative Community Engagement at the University of Salford and use this opportunity to support my interest in developing tools for learning recognition for informal and non-formal educational experience.
