Biography

I am a practice-based researcher, educator, and visual maker working at the intersection of photography and computational culture. My work explores how new imaging technologies—such as photogrammetry, LiDAR, augmented reality, and generative AI—reshape the production, perception, and circulation of images. Drawing on visual culture, digital anthropology, philosophy, and institutional critique, I investigate how sense data collected from apparatus such as cameras is encoded within computational systems and how these processes impact engagement, governance, and visibility. A key strand of my methodology is the design of research-led workshops that explore material inequalities and spatial politics through technical media. My practice-based PhD output includes The Museum of Computational Image Artefacts (MoCIA) . I am currently leading the development of a new MA Photography and Digital Practice at UAL Online.
