Thomas Gebhart

Biography

Thomas Gebhart is a part-time AHRC PhD candidate based at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and the British Library. His research project is titled: Critical librarianship and UK digital comics: collecting marginal voices for Non-Print Legal Deposit.
The research will explore the potential for digital comics to contribute to the aims and objectives of critical librarianship, taking advantage of digital publishing practices to foreground marginal voices and create library collections that are more representative, inclusive and diverse. Of particular focus will be the implications and requirements of collecting digital comics for Legal Deposit requirements in the UK.
