Biography

Chilean-Italian filmmaker, researcher, writer, and interdisciplinarian. Senior Lecturer in Multimedia Production at LCC, after surviving my PhD in Interactive and Immersive Storytelling in the University of York, against all odds and a global pandemic.

I specialise in research by creative practice methods, and my main research interests are interactive and immersive storytelling and narratives. My current research is focused on the notion of meta-spectatorship as an ontological category that observes the prosthetic relationship between bodies, contents, and digital technologies, using a Foucauldian perspective.

I have twelve years of experience in research in arts and humanities, almost twenty years of teaching experience, and thirteen years of production experience in either film, video, and similar projects. I also hold a diploma in masculinities and gender perspectives, which involved a lot of reading and re-learning. I'm hoping to expand my research and practice into decolonial narratives and arts using digital interactive and immersive technologies.

When I'm not pretending to be an intellectual, I play the bass, write film reviews, write a novel, and try my best not to buy more books (and fail).
