Wenjie Chen

Biography

I am Wenjie, a clothing designer and bio-designer passionate about blending fashion, science, and sustainability. My work explores the intersection of apparel design and bio-materials, including fungal leather and bacterial fibres, to create innovative, environmentally conscious, and wearable pieces.
With an MA in Biodesign from Central Saint Martins and international design experience, I combine craftsmanship with interdisciplinary research to develop unique collections and experimental materials. My practice seeks not only aesthetic excellence but also ethical and circular design solutions, aiming to shape a more sustainable and innovative future for fashion.
