Wenxin Guo

Biography

Wenxin Guo is a full-time PhD student at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. She is also engaged in digital media art and graphic design, specializing in diverse digital art forms, including animation, installation art, digital imagery, and video.

Wenxin's doctoral research focuses on social class issues and inequality, with an emphasis on marginalized groups deprived of their voice. Her study explores, from a unique and non-traditional perspective, how migrant communities respond to homogenizing labels on social media. She examines how migrants use digital media to challenge biases, transform negative labels into narratives of empowerment, and reconstruct their identities through non-traditional visual aesthetics and storytelling.
