Biography
Xiangyu Dong is a Chinese visual artist and researcher based in London. After completing his MA at the Royal College of Art, he is currently pursuing a PhD at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. His research explores self-portraiture through the lens of queer failure and queer moments in contemporary China.Xiangyu is the Conceptual Talent Award winner of FRESHEYES New Talent 2024 and one of the winners of the Analog Sparks Award 2023. His work has been featured in Another Magazine, The Opéra, WÜL Magazine, and exhibited internationally in cities such as London, Paris, Budapest, and Arles.
