Xiaoze Zhang

Biography

Xiaoze Zhang(she/her) is a dedicated full-time PhD student at Camberwell Chelsea Wimbledon, University of the Arts London(UAL), and she is also a painter.

She specializes in the multi-disciplinary fields of painting, installation, and animation，especially applying collage to impart a non-linear narrative quality to paintings to explore the subconscious mind and the psychoanalysis of dreams.

Her research topic focuses on the extension of painting into spatialisation through collage technique, building upon the foundation of easel painting, with the aim of transcending the traditional boundaries of this medium. Additionally, she is keen to investigate the interactivity between spatial painting artworks and the audience, with the goal of providing an immersive and playful viewing experience.
