Christina Miariti

Biography
Christina has a background in Journalism and media and over 20 years of experience working across Higher Education, NGOs and journalism.
Specialising in the intersection of research development and impact, she has worked extensively in designing and delivering workshops to maximise the impact of research and has authored a comprehensive toolkit to guide researchers in creating impactful work. Her expertise spans managing collaborative research awards, designing bespoke impact strategies for research and fostering cross-sector partnerships.
An Onassis scholar, Christina holds an MBA from the University of Sussex and an MA in International Communications from the University of Leeds. From 2020 to 2023, she co-directed the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC), where she helped foster collaboration among researchers, funders and policymakers to advance transformative innovation theory and practice globally. She also has experience as a radio reporter and has held communications positions in NGOs and Associations.
Since 2023 Christina has managed the AKO Storytelling Institute where she designs and implements initiatives that explore and connect storytelling and real-world impact, encouraging experimentation and learning.
