Why are we running a 24/4 pilot?
UAL students continually ask for longer opening hours and increased access to our facilities and resources. This is evident in all the feedback that we receive through student comments and through the various surveys which we run as a university and we always try to be as responsive as possible when developing our services. Often students ask if we can be open overnight and this pilot will allow us to gauge the true demand for overnight access and to monitor usage accordingly. At the end of the pilot period we will be better placed to judge impact, make recommendations and address any specific concerns in any permanent extensions to hours we decide to go ahead with in future.
