e introduced autorenew. This means that items which are not requested by other users are renewed by us, for you, helping you to avoid fines.
You told us that you were getting too many emails from us. We have changed this so now you will receive an email on the day you have:
- new items borrowed
- items returned
- items renewed
- items not renewed
What happens if I receive an email saying my items have not renewed?
- you must return these within 7 days or your account will be blocked.
What happens if my account is blocked?
- your other items will not autorenew and could become overdue.
- you must return all overdue items. You may then be able to borrow them again.
What is autorenew?
Any 1 or 3 week item you have on loan will be automatically renewed up to 10 times unless:
- someone else reserves that item
- you have a fine of £10 or more
- you have any items overdue by more than a week
- your account is blocked
- an item has already had 10 renewals
- Remember, when items are not renewed fines will accrue.
