Thinking through drawing
Tuesday 20 October 2015 14:00-17:00
Are you struggling to communicate your ideas visually? Would you like to be able to use drawing and sketching to facilitate ideas-generation and help you plan out your work? Do you feel that a lack of drawing confidence might be restricting you creatively? In this three-hour workshop we will revisit drawing skills and consider what it means to ‘see skilfully’. We will look at various drawing methodologies to consider how drawing can help to think through conceptual ideas, to work through a brief, and to expand and support thinking and creative practice.

Exploring tangible/intangible qualities
Thursday 22 October 2015 10:30-13:00
Throughout the process of your course, you are inevitably required to produce deliverables as part of your formative and summative assessment including essays, dissertations, assignments, exhibitions and degree shows. These are the tangible elements that form part of your assessment and are the culmination of your hard work. However, these ‘tangibles’ are driven and supported by ‘intangible’ qualities. These are the things you can’t touch but very much form part of your character and individuality to make you and your work more distinctive. In this session you will learn how harness some of the intangible elements that differentiate you how to present this in your work.
