Creative Business Internships
Creative Business Internships offer short paid internships to graduating and recently graduated students, placing them with small creative businesses.
These internships are a great way to gain professional experience to include on your CV, explore career options and build your network.
All internships are with businesses set up by UAL graduates and will provide insights into what is involved in working for yourself and running a creative enterprise.
Who can apply
Creative Business Internships are designed to support recent graduates who would be unable to take unpaid opportunities and gain work experience. The internships are aimed at final-year students and recent graduates from an undergraduate bachelor programme only. Those starting, completing or who have graduated from MA or other higher courses are not eligible.

- UAL students currently in the final year of their undergraduate, bachelors, programme (due to graduate in summer 2025).
- UAL alumni who graduated from an undergraduate bachelors programme in 2024. Those who graduated before 2024 are not eligible.
You cannot apply if you:

Support for your application
When you apply for a Creative Business Internship you will need to complete an application form and attach your CV.
You can apply for up to 3 different internships, although you will only be able to do one if offered.
For each internship you apply for you need to complete a separate supporting statement on your application form. This statement should explain:
- why you are interested in the role
- what relevant skills and experience you can bring to the role
- what you hope to gain and learn by doing the internship.
The supporting statement can be written or recorded (video or audio-only). If you are recording your statement you must put the URL into the application form and the password if you have set one. Please do not attach the video or audio files to the application form.
Access to the recording should not be time limited as the business will need to access your application in full.
