Choosing a UAL representative

Official UAL representatives

We have over 40 official UAL representatives (sometimes called 'agents') across the globe to guide you through your journey to join us.

This page explains:

  • the support our representatives can give you
  • some important points you should know about when using our representatives
  • what it means for us to be part of the UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF)
  • what you should do if you experience a problem when using a UAL representative.

What does a UAL representative do?

Our representatives will support you locally and in your language through every stage of applying for a course at UAL, free of charge.

Find their contact details through our country webpage for support with pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate course applications.

Our representatives will do the following:

  • Give you information about UAL, including the courses we offer, funding opportunities and details about how to apply, including portfolio and interview guidance.
  • Support you through the entire process of submitting an application and help you make an informed decision about your future.
  • Support with visa applications and preparing for your arrival. There may be a charge for help with some visa services and arranging travel to the UK.

It's important for you to understand these points:

  • UAL is responsible for processing and reviewing all applications, including those supported by a representative.
  • Although our representative will support you throughout, you have overall responsibility for your application, including responding to any communication from us.
  • So that our representatives can fully support you through the process, you'll be asked to consent to sharing your application data with them. This will give them permission to discuss all aspects of your application with UAL.
  • UAL will pay representatives a commission for the service they provide to you, except those representatives in the USA or working with students receiving US federal loans.

The UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF)

We’re committed to high standards of support for our students, and we work with our official representatives across the globe to help us achieve this. To show this commitment, we’ve signed the UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF) pledge.

Being part of the AQF pledge means that UAL is committed to the following:

  • Empowering student choice and enabling informed decision making.
  • Promoting ethical agent practices and professional knowledge and competence.
  • Ensuring good agent governance and professionalism.
  • Increasing transparency and accountability.

All UAL representatives have been thoroughly checked by UAL and we only work with representatives who we trust completely.

The AQF have created a guide to help you with your decision on choosing and applying through a representative (or 'agent'). Download the guide by clicking on the link at the top of this page.

What if I experience a problem?

If you have any issues with a UAL representative, during or after applying to one of our courses, you can contact us through the UAL Portal or by emailing admissions@arts.ac.uk to make a complaint.
