Arts SU x Post-Grad Community Mixer, at LCC's Darkroom Bar

On Thursday October 12th, London College of Communication's Darkroom Bar buzzed with lively conversation and laughter as newly enrolled postgraduate students from across UAL came together for a Cheese and Wine Mixer. As part of the 2023 Big Welcome, this special evening brought UAL's talented postgraduates together to connect over sharing boards, wine, music, and pool.

Presented in collaboration by Arts SU and Post-Grad Community, the mixer gave a warm welcome to UAL's newest and returning postgrads. Students mingled in cosy nooks, the gallery space, and around lively pool tables, sharing creative passions and academic journeys. The atmosphere was energetic and welcoming - new friends were made and professional connections sparked over bites and drinks.

The Mixer coincided with Postgraduate Selects, an exhibition co-curated by Arts SU and Post-Grad Community in the adjoining gallery space. On display were 18 outstanding works from current postgrad students across UAL's colleges. Striking photography, lush fashion designs, intricate sculptures, and more offered a snapshot of the innovation and skill cultivated in UAL's postgraduate community.

As students mingled over cheese and wine, connections flourished between UAL's brightest talents. Arts SU and Post-Grad Community were thrilled to celebrate and acknowledge this exciting community of emerging creatives.
