Call Out: Print Designer Wanted

The team are looking for a print designer to work alongside the co-editors and contributing artists to deliver a print aesthetic fitting with the publication’s aims and ethos.
Job purpose:
The print designer will play a vital role in delivering graphic solutions across the publication that can be later applied to pdf format and adapted for social media assets.
To date, 34 contributions have been accepted in a diverse range of formats and from research communities internal and external to UAL. The right candidate must be able apply a certain design style across the material in a congruent manner.
An understanding or interest in the publication’s themes is required as you will be conceptualising and portraying sensitive content in a visually appealing style and in keeping with the publication’s ethos.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to define design briefs.
- Attend Team meetings either in person/online.
- Research concepts, reference material and themes related to the content.
- Present design mock-ups for revision and feedback.
- Implement feedback to create final print designs.
- Maintain the publication’s consistency across its print design and online materials.
- The ability to follow artwork guidelines as supplied by printer.
