Due to the current health crisis all planned physical activities at UAL have been cancelled and Post-Grad Community is now connecting online. We are using this opportunity to showcase work by UAL students. Jason Hall studies MA Applied Imagination at Central Saint Martins and has been using this time to transcribe his daily walk abiding by goverrnent directives on social distancing.
2m plus chitchat
Never have I valued idle chitchat from strangers as much as I do at the moment. I may only speak to one person a day but these casual interactions hold something very precious. These works are transcripts of rare interactions with dog walkers. They are a very important component of my day. I don't speak to anyone else outside my house other than the odd dog walker. These scraps of social connect, no matter how small, fill me with gratitude.
