February is LGBTQ+ history month and a perfect month to launch Lumis in London. Lumis is an event that offers time and space for exchange and collaboration between Post-Graduate students and alumni from various disciplines. Together, topics and artwork are discussed, reflected on and then reinterpreted.
The Post-Graduate Community teamed up with Queer Britain and the Ambassadors Nici and Timna have invited current students and alumni to explore Queer Britain, UK’s first Queer Museum, on Wednesday, 15th of February 2023.
The square right in front of the museum, next to the CSM, offered us a perfect place to kick off the event. Under a clear blue sky, we benefited from the unusual 13°C that day and started with an introductory game in which the participants could introduce themselves before splitting up into smaller groups.

After an hour's exploration of the inaugural exhibition, ‘We Are Queer Britain’, which has already generated many interesting conversations, we moved to the Platform Bar at CSM to creatively express the inputs offered by the exhibition. The participants began exchanging ideas, cutting material and collecting thoughts to put their impressions on paper. We are proud to say that together the group created a beautiful zine which you can enjoy in the video below and maybe soon at Queer Britain.
